John Joly and the Joly Color Process

Artist's Biography – (50-75 words):

Joly was born in Bracknagh, County Offaly, Ireland. He went to college at Trinity College in Dublin. Joly went for Engineering. He also was First class Honors in modern literature. Joly invented the photometer, which measures light intensity. The other things he also invented was the first color photographic processes. Called the Joly Color Process. He was known for radiotherapy and the cohesion-tension theory.

Personal Reaction – (50 – 75 words):

I believe Joly was a smart man. I think anyone is smart who invented something. I don't even understand what he invented. He made these before there were even computers. Impressive! Photography would not be the same today if it weren't for John Joly
