Artist's Biography – (50-75 words):
Auguste Marie Louis Nicolas born October 19 1862 in France. Louis Jean was born Octeober 5, 1864 also in France. They are one of the earliest known film makers known. When their father retired in 1892 the brothers started creating moving pictures. In 1903 they patented their color film process known as "Autochrome Lumiere" . It did not come to market till 1907. Later this company merged with Ilford. The brothers' company also made loudspeakers and a medicine for burns.
Personal Reaction – (50 – 75 words):
These two brothers led a very interesting life. They did not just go into one industry and stay there they went from film movies to color photos to making their own process and later to merge with one of the biggest photo and film companies still around to this day. Their work has a very old and soothing look to it.
